A DICKCISSEL (female/juvenile male type plumage) was at the northeast
corner of Calvert Vaux Park in Brooklyn early Sunday morning. The
bird was active around a semi-circular steel bench at the end of a
path near the “wetland” channel in this recently reopened section of
the park. Otherwise, activity was relatively low.

At Owl’s Head Park on Saturday a brief sky watch at dusk produced a
single COMMON NIGHTHAWK.

Good birding,
Alex Wilson
Brooklyn
