If that breech is showing unsupported trackage, it will be repaired, either by supporting the tracks with bridging or by rebuilding the dike underneath the tracks. That is an active MTA track for the "A" train to the Rockaways. It is not so clear that the breech in the West Pond dike would be repaired. That will take some lobbying with the National Park Service.
