The Great Horned Owls were the highlight of today's Saturday morning bird walk. Male & female both visible and hopefully getting ready to mate in a month or so. A few Pine Siskins and a mixed flock of Red winged blackbirds; male, female and immature males along with Rusty blackbirds were feeding in the Sweet Gum trees. The hurricane cut quite a path of destruction in the forest and throughout the Garden. Many large and very old trees were down.
