I had looked with Vinnie Pellegrino on Tuesday afternoon for the crossbill flock but we came up empty, staying from about 3 PM till dark. This afternoon I tried again from about 2:45 to 3:45 and had 1 female type WW Crossbill only. There were also a pair of Tufted Titmouse with the chickadees - don't know if that's unusual - they are rare on the barrier beaches further west -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
