A early Yellow Warbler sang unseen at Wertheim NWR late this morning, but did not linger, his song rapidly dwindling into the distance.

At Smith Pt. Park, among the many Grackles, Redwings, and Cowbirds, there was a scattering of Flickers and small flocks of Juncos and sparrows, mostly Song & Whitethroats, but with a few Chipping and Tree Sparrows. Tree Swallows were squabbling over nest boxes. One Palm Warbler provided a welcome spot of color.
