This morning (6:23 -10:30) on a hike up Slide Mt.in less than ideal
conditions the usual breeding birds were either heard or seen on the
ascent: Red-eyed Vireo, Ovenbird, American Redstart, Black-throated Green
Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Magnolia
Warbler and Winter Wren. On the summit I heard White-throated Sparrow,
Dark-eyed Junco, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler and 3 Bicknell's
Thrush. All three Bicknell's were heard giving call notes, two of them were
seen.
