Spent about an hour checking the Coxsackie Grasslands and vicinity on Sunday afternoon 1/12.
Most notable for what was NOT seen: only one harrier spotted; ZERO gulls at the Cox. boat launch; no mergansers on the river; no eagles; no flocks of larks or buntings along River Rd; no Snowy or Short-eared owls anywhere. Very quiet.
