>From roughly 1-3:30pm today, Rob Jett and I birded Veteran's Memorial Pier
and nearby 58th St. Pier in Brooklyn. Conditions deteriorated from sunny
and pleasant to a downright inhospitable gale.
A first year Iceland gull (same individual)was seen in both locations. The
MANY gulls over the Owl's Head treatment facility simply did not roost on
the pier or adjacent rocks as they typically do. There were a significant
number of gulls that were just too far to scope given the conditions.
