A drive through Orient St. Park late Saturday afternoon with Lee, Michael and
Brynn Stocker was highlighted by a pair of very active Snowy Owls.  One was
tree hopping on the marshes north/west of the roadway, while the other was seen
on the rock jetties to the south.  Other birds of note included two purple
sandpiper, a ruddy turnstone, several sanderling, a flock of ~20 Horned Lark,
White-winged and Surf Scoters, Common Goldeneye, and other assorted species.

Park staff chased us out of the park and locked the gates promptly at 4:30, so
keep an eye on the clock if you venture out.
