Pete Morris and I found a Clay-colored Sparrow along the southeast corner of 
the northeast lot at Captree SP, Suffolk, LI.

The bird struck me as not quite typical in a couple of ways and the date is 
slightly early for a southbound bird on LI, but it clearly showed a nice 
auricular patch edge in black below, completely pale lores, a brown rump, and 
nice buffy breast and flanks.
