I would like to correct my email from last night, as it was misleading.
Rereading that post, it would seem to indicate that the bird was in the
parking lot.  It was not.  The whip was calling from a distance, west of
the refuge, probably from the grounds of Westhampton Airport.

The refuge manager told me that he had heard the chuck calling on
several occasions this spring from around the refuge.
