Speaking of Red Knots; Here is an interesting interview w/ Deborah Cramer about
her studies regarding the link between Red Knots and Horseshoe Crabs.

My apologies if this is not allowed but I thought the population may find it
interesting.

Subject: [nysbirds-l] Black Tern-Cupsogue Beach-Westhampton Dunes

Apologies for the late post, but yesterday afternoon Jim Cullen and I had a
Black Tern on the exposed tidal flat west of Cupsogue. Also there were 25 Red
Knot, four of which had colored, numbered tags on their legs. This info is
available off list for those who wish to track.
