Update. The 2 Marbled Godwits were feeding in "Dead Man's Bay", the small cove
opposite the island at the north end of the East Pond. Shortly afterwards they
flew to the northwest corner, by the trail entrance. A short while later they
were not there. Later I found 1 Godwit with 2 western Willets south of the
cove, but before I left around 10 I did not see the Godwit. Decent numbers of
birds, mostly juvenile SB Dowitchers, Semi Sandpipers, a few Least, 2 Stilt
Sandpipers, a few Ruddy Turnstones, 1 Sanderling with a bad foot, 2
Oystercatchers, Semipalmated and Black-bellied Plovers. We apparently missed a
White-rumped. All at the north end.
