7:30 & 9:00am


Today's Highlights: - 10 species of Wood Warblers including a first-fall 
Mourning Warbler originally found by Emily Peyton at Strawberry Fields. Also 
Eastern Wood-Pewee, Great Crested Flycatcher & Empidonax flycatchers. The best 
location today was Strawberry Fields.

Mallard - around a dozen - Turtle Pond
Mourning Dove - including a flock of a dozen at the Oven (RDC before walk)
Chimney Swift - 10 over the Ramble
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 4
Ring-billed Gull - flyovers
Herring Gull - flyovers
Double-crested Cormorant - flyover
Black-crowned Night-Heron - adult south side Turtle Pond (Castle Walk)
Downy Woodpecker - few
Northern Flicker - several Hatch-year birds
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 2 (Strawberry Fields & Humming Tombstone)
Empidonax Flycatcher - 2 (including a possible Acadian at Strawberry Fields)
Great Crested Flycatcher - Humming Tombstone
Warbling Vireo - 6
Red-eyed Vireo - 2 in the Ramble
Blue Jay
Barn Swallow - 2 over Ramble
Tufted titmouse - 2 hatch-year birds
White-breasted Nuthatch - family of 3 or 4
Carolina Wren - 2 at Indian Cave
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 3
American Robin - fewer
Gray Catrbird - mostly hatch-year's
Northern Mockingbird - Humming Tombstone
House Finch
Ovenbird - 3 (2 in the Ramble, 1 Strawberry Fields)
Northern Waterthrush - 5
Blue-winged Warbler - 2 (Maintenance Field & Strawberry Fields)
Black-and-white Warbler - 5
Mourning Warbler - hatch-year/first-fall Strawberry Fields (see note above -

Common Yellowthroat - Strawberry Fields
American Redstart - 15-20
Magnolia Warbler - Maintenance Field (RDC before walk)
Yellow Warbler - 2 (Castle Walk & Strawberry Fields)
Canada Warbler - fall male Strawberry Fields
Northern Cardinal
Baltimore Oriole - 3 including one adult male
