At least 35 American Kestrels were seen actively feeding mid-day today from
well posts or from overhead hover on the Croton Point Park landfill
grasslands. They seemed to be catching grasshopper after grasshopper.

Single Northern Harrier (immature) present as well as continuing, good
numbers of Osprey.  Seven Osprey seen today.  A walk this past Monday had
high count of 12 Osprey along Croton and Haverstraw Bays.  One adult Bald
Eagle was also seen today.

Increasing numbers of Savannah Sparrows are on the landfill, 11 seen today.

American Pipit flock seen last weekend and Monday with high count of 16 on
Monday was not observed today.
