Today's Highlights: Sharp-shinned & Cooper's Hawks, 10 species of Wood Warblers 
and the continuing Marsh Wren.

Mallard - Turtle Pond
Mourning Dove
Chimney Swift - 15 to 20 low over the treetops
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 2 at Oven
Herring Gull - flyover
Double-crested Cormorant - flyovers
Sharp-shinned Hawk - hatch-year male released by Boathouse staff after window 
collision
Cooper's Hawk - large hatch-year female at the Oven
Red-tailed Hawk - adult resident
Red-bellied Woodpecker - residents
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 3
Downy Woodpecker - residents
Northern Flicker - 20 to 30 (flight in last night) including 5 on the ground at 
Maintenance field 
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 3
White-eyed Vireo - hatch-year east side of the source of the Gill
Blue-headed Vireo - in Catalpa at Tupelo Field
Red-eyed Vireo - 7
Blue Jay
Black-capped Chickadee - 2 Oven
Red-breasted Nuthatch - 5 (2 of these in Shakespeare Garden)
White-breasted Nuthatch - 2 Oven
Brown Creeper - 1 at Oven
House Wren - several
Winter Wren - uphill from Boathouse (Robert Ruvolo, MD)
Marsh Wren - just west of south side of Bow Bridge in Cattails
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 15 to 20
Gray-cheeked Thrush - 2 near feeders & elsewhere
Swainson's Thrush - 4
American Robin - many flying north early morning (Bob before walk)
Gray Catbird - 
Brown Thruasher - 5
Northern Mockingbird - 2
Cedar Waxwing - flock at Oven
House Finch - residents
Ovenbird - 4
Black-and-white Warbler - 5
Common Yellowthroat - 6
American Redstart - 7
Nothern Parula - 20 (the most numerous Wood Warbler species today)
Magnolia Warbler - 4
Blackpoll Warbler - 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 4 (one male)
Palm Warbler (Eastern) - 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler - Tupelo Field
Eastern Towhee - 5
Song Sparrow - 3
Swamp Sparrow - 3
White-throated Sparrow - first big influx
