Presenter: Daniel Hendricks Location: Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch at Grand Army Plaza Saving Jamaica Bay is a documentary that focuses on the Broad Channel community’s decades-long fight to clean up a notorious environmental and mob dumping ground, to save and restore barrier reefs and to preserve a nature sanctuary. It is now a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary and important way station for migratory birds.
