Raft of 80+ Ruddy Ducks seen in Croton Bay this blustery late October
morning on a gray and choppy Hudson River, along with small groups of
Bufflehead and Lesser Scaup and bonus of three White-winged Scoters.

Ospreys (4 seen today) continuing around Croton Point and three different
pursuits by 1st/2nd yr Bald Eagles observed with Osprey surrendering fish
each time. Total of four different 1st/2nd yr Bald Eagles seen plus one
adult.

One Northern Harrier, total of 41 American Pipits, and two Vesper Sparrows
seen on Croton Point landfill grasslands.  Eastern Meadowlark seen early in
am feeding on ballfield by entrance. Uptick today in other bird activity on
Croton Point as well (eBird list below) but no re-sighting of yesterday's
Nelson's Sparrow.
