A lady from Kingston, Ulster County called in to my radio show this
afternoon saying that she thought she was seeing a female Painted Bunting
in her yard (actually landing and pecking at the windshield of her car).

She later sent me photos - which as it turns out were of an Orange-crowned
Warbler.

The lady, Rebecca Schweitzer, has since entered the sighting in eBird -
with all the photos attached.

Orange-crowned Warbler is a good find for Ulster County anytime of year -
but even more so in December.

There are a few records of OCWA in the Kingston area over the last decade
or so.

I recall another Ulster County winter record of one coming to a backyard
feeder near Rosendale many years ago.
