In bigger but *extra-limital* (and ongoing) bird-news, the Say’s Phoebe was
still around at Sikorsky airport in Fairfield, **Connecticut** on Thursday,
3/31.

Central Park, & elsewhere in N.Y. County (N.Y. City) -
Thurs., 3/31:

An American Bittern in Central Park’s north end, found on Thursday morning is
among many relatives (herons & egrets) that were on the move already for the
day. Much more happening bird-wise as well, around the county of New York (in
N.Y. City); more reports by the next day. Thanks also to T. Zahner for (1st)
better photos made of the bitttern; and GroupMe alerting, etc.

Among multiple other arrivals on the day have been Palm Warbler & other birds
as well. Pine Warblers have also increased. Some species already present (some
also wintered) are showing good increases, for ex. Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. A
very strong push of Wood Duck occurred, most seeming to move on in flight and
not necessarily tied to other big waterfowl movement for (at least) N.Y.
County. Red-breasted Nuthatch is also showing, after a quiet season so far for
them.

good -and ethical- birding to all; next up: April,
