| 1 Marbled Godwit feeding just before “Dead Man’s Cove” (DMC)at the Northend of the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. There is not much room for it to feed comfortably so I will not push in to avoid disturbing it and other shorebirds. Plus, thunderstorms are rolling in so I may hightail it for safer grounds. A word of advice. Those of you not familiar with the Northend of the East Pond should not attempt to venture onto the pond. The water is not as low as last season and you would need some experience to at least make it to the DMC without getting into a sticky situation. Cheers,
