I think that's more or less what the > people of Geronimo are doing. Geronimo is not using Confluence to manage it's website yet - we're only experimenting with it. Currently we're still using the Maven XDocs to maintain the website and these are checked into the Subversion repo. ActiveMQ and ServiceMix are actually using the Confluence to manage their websites with an auto export to static HTML for serving the website, but this static HTML is not currently being checked in to the Subversion repo because this is not automated yet.
