Luciano,

Actually we were more thinking of OpenJPA as it's closer to Hibernate, is
pretty mature already (being the former Kodo) and supports many different
databases. However there's no final decision.

How would Tuscany DAS compare to a tool like OpenJPA or Hibernate? Is it
mature enough? For example in terms of querying, bulk updates and all that
sort of things that we, java developers, don't like to think of, but have a
way to influence performance greatly? What do you think?

As for the ODE knowledge, I'd be more than happy to help (as would all the
Ode committers I think).

Thanks,

Matthieu

but I didn't have time to do much progress on this subject.

My idea was to investigate the possibility of replacing Hibernate with
Tuscany DAS (http://incubator.apache.org/tuscany/das_index.html). If
someone
is interested in helping with the ODE knowledge, I could help with the
Tuscany DAS knowledge and maybe we could show a much quicker progress.
