I haven't seen any way to specify at deployment time for a given process if it will use the standard persistent Dao or an in-memory dao.
I think this could be a useful feature to improve performance of processes that do not need persistence, while allowing to use a single JBI component. I guess this would be another addition to the deployment descriptor.
