Thanks guys. A bit more info. The inside handle moves as it should. Down and forward to lock, and pull back and up to open. But it won't open. Outside handle, however, will not move down, as if the door has been locked. But I didn't use the key and lock the door, and I cannot get the key to turn and unlock it.

my thought is that your door has never properly latched until someone slammed it. push on the door hard to unlatch it and then, if and when this works, move your striker plate out a bit. right now your door is being held hostage by your door weather seal.

Mike,You can take the inside handles off, then take the cardboard panel off to get to the remote control. If you take the remote control off, it will likely come free. If not, you can at least now get to the latch from the inside. On the Stovebolt forum, I have a full description of the latch and how it works. I could also send you the info if you send me an addy I can use. It acts as though it is locked, but I cannot reverse this problem with either the key or the inside or outside door handles. Can't work on it because I can't open it. Any tricks out there?
