Hi again,
        I've been running a 9600/200mp for quite a while now - I've been
using Mac OS 9.1 & (thanks to the XPostFacto utility) Mac OSX 10.1.3. The
Apple System Profiler on 9.1 shows that it has 2 processors (not yet
supported under OSX) but I haven't tried using Photoshop on it yet.
I've found in my case that 9.1 is a very stable system & I've had
it doing piles of things at once. Maybe my system is a freak (288MB RAM
with 4GB drive), but I've had no crashing problems with the occasional
exception of IE when it's loaded a Java page.
So far as running OSX is concerned, I found plain OSX was pretty
slow (as it is on my iMac), but going to 10.1 & up has been pretty good &
the response running OSX 10.1.3 on this machine is very good - Ryan Rempel,
who wrote XPostFacto is apparently going to add support for the dual
processor, but hasn't indicated when this might occur.
If you may be looking at running server apps, I can recommend this
as the server tools I have run under OSX have had a pretty remarkable
response time & if using a fast hard drive, the machine is even more usable
- I also have a 7300/200 which I am setting up a a server & with the
10,000rpm 18GB SCSI drive, it is more than usable under OSX.
I hope this helps you out.

        Bye for now, Terry Allen
