Why do people pull this kind of crap?? Just like the Casteele's did.
Greg and Debbie can stick it. If I ever see the Child's I'll ask them
if they have a copier in their Hudson. The last name fits. DMFs.

Two years ago, the Treasurer of OCA noticed that there was a payment being
made top a company in Utah that was not listed anywhere on the books. He
inquired and found out that it was for a large copier that Greg Childs had
at his home. The treasurer asked Greg about it and he said it was
"approved" by the former treasurer, Dianne Kaufman. An expense that size
could NOT be only approved by 1 board member. Greg said he needed it when
he was the OCA President. At the time he had not been the President for
over a year. It turns out that it was the second copier he had leased. The
first one was purchase by his next-door neighbor for the "residual" value.
Anyway, the OCA board asked him to pay back the copier lease costs and take
over the lease himself. He refused, and after a few months and a consensus
by the OCA board that he MUST pay it back, he finally paid back just over
$7,000.00 in lease payments. At the next board meeting, (summer 2004) he was
voted off the board by a margin of something like 18 to 2. He was not happy
about this, and his wife, Debbie Childs, the OCA VP was thoroughly pissed.
According to the existing bylaws, this action was proper and called for if
the board thought the offense worthy. At that point, the board just wanted
to drop it and forget the whole deal. The board did not vote to remove him
from the club altogether or remove his lifetime membership to the OCA.

At the 2005 board meeting, we passes a motion to have a bylaw state that if
an OCA board member was ever removed for just cause, they could not ever be
on the board again. It was passed by club members 3 months ago. Anyway,
there is a group of OCA members and board members who are "buddies" with the
Childs', and have a "mission" to get Greg back on the board, and they seem
to want to "stick it to" the current President, Pat Yancey. This group has
nominated and placed some of their group on the ballot for the current OCA
elections. There have been letters going back and forth across the country
in favor of the "anti-Yancey" group.
