diskinfo is baked-in to illumos now, and subsequently will be in r151022. The disk-selection of the new installer takes diskinfo(1M) output as its data, e.g. > I'm tired every release installing these software besides almost everybody > needs... This falls back to the original OmniOS KYSTY philosophy, which I still agree with, though I understand very much your concern & frustration. After 022, I was hoping to address clearly the problem by proposing a LARGE secondary publisher that would provide the sort of extras you seek. There were questions about its construction and maintenance of course. 024 was going to have an 022-like super-sized 9-ish-month cycle (to get us back on the spring/fall 6-month cadence), which would've been partially used to solve such problems. > I'm very sad about ending. Me too, but that train has left the station (at least w.r.t. OmniTI). It's on the community now. > Thank you for your all effort. It was my pleasure.
