Winds were light to moderate from the southwest. Observations: The early flight was spread out somewhat but eventually most birds were taking a northerly path in response to the south wind. New season records were established for Harrier and Red-tail today breaking records set in 1998 and 1995 respectively. Also of note today was the sighting of an adult dark-morph Red-tail, which I believe is the 6th such plumaged bird recorded this fall. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
