Weather:
Today was a bright sunny day with only modest amounts of high cirrus to
break up the high blue. Winds were light to moderate from the southwest.

Observations:
The early flight was spread out somewhat but eventually most birds were
taking a northerly path in response to the south wind. New season records
were established for Harrier and Red-tail today breaking records set in
1998 and 1995 respectively. Also of note today was the sighting of an
adult dark-morph Red-tail, which I believe is the 6th such plumaged bird
recorded this fall.
