Just wanted to say that I did some quick tests with Ubuntu Karmic Koala (alpha-6) using OpenSRF trunk and Evergreen trunk a few days back and everything that I tested worked nicely - including PostgreSQL 8.4. I added an ubuntu-karmic target to each of the Makefile.install files.
Of course, Karmic beta is out now so all bets are off :)
