This is a reminder of the OpenABM Modeling competition deadline of April 1, 2011. As a reminder, the task is to develop an agent-based model that matches experimental data of human foraging and predict the results for a new set of experiments. The author(s) of the winning entry will receive a cash prize of $1000 and one (1) invitation to attend the annual conference of the Computational Social Science Society (CSSS) 2011. The motivation to implement this competition is to explore the diverse ways people test agent-based models on empirical data. The competition organizers have provided an experimental data set from a series of real-time spatial commons dilemma experiments. The contestants' task is to develop a model that can explain the observations and be used to predict the outcomes of a series of new experiments with adjustments in specific environmental conditions.
