What does this buy, assuming all data served from storage comes from like hardware (speed, capacity, etc)? We use this to separate activities (interactive vs. batch), to separate different user communities (to avoid cross-talk) or to manage different service levels (e.g. with or without diesel backup for power). We used to also have different types of hardware for the different pools, but this is becoming less relevant these days. Cheers, Arne
