Hello Oliver, Thanks a lot for your help. As I understand, in the tip you gave me, that means that I should use the IP of the machine where the apache web server is running, right? But in DNS I think I should use the name of the machine, I mean the hostname, is it ok? I look in this file /proc/sys/kernel/hostname and here appears hostname as
maquina4.dominio.com.co. Is this the value I have to use in DNS?? Sorry for all those newbie questions. Thanks a lot, Johnny --- Oliver Welter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> escribi: > Hi Johnny, > > I think you mean the Certificate for the SSL-Part of > the Server - than > you have to put in the URI you use to connect to the > Server in your > Browser - so I think ist should be of "192.168.1.1" > or like this.... > My CA listens on "ca.company.tld" ans this is the CN > in the cert. > > Oliver > > Johnny Gonzalez wrote: > > Hello everybody, I have this question: > > > > When I'm in initializing the CA in phase 2 step 2 > > "Edit the request", I have to add the DNS and/or > the > > IP Address, but I'm using a test system which > isn't > > online, then which DNS and IP address should I > use?
