I am testing with openCA ( 0.9.2.4 ) and I use PostgreSQL for storage. This seems to work just fine but why is all data also stored on disk?
This is due to the nature of OpenSSL....We use the openssl program to do most of the Crypto-Operations and OpenSSL needs files on the disk to work. We import the files afterwards into the database, so it is safely to remove these files (except for the current crl, cakey/cacert and the cert-chains!!)
