So I monkeyed with the perms on the pid and got past that. It seemed to start but I got the following in the log: 2008/03/20-15:14:24 OpenCA::Server (type Net::Server::Fork) starting! pid(9749) OpenCA::OpenSSL->_stop_shell: try to stop shell OpenCA::OpenSSL->_stop_shell: try to stop shell Binding to UNIX socket file /usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket using SOCK_STREAM 2008/03/20-15:14:24 Couldn't chown "/usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket" [Operation not permitted] at line 450 in file /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/Net/Server.pm 2008/03/20-15:14:24 Server closing! OpenCA::OpenSSL->_stop_shell: try to stop shell OpenCA::OpenSSL->_stop_shell: try to stop shell A look at /usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp gives: ls -l total 16 srwxrwxr-x 1 openca openca 0 Mar 20 15:14 openca_socket srw------- 1 openca openca 0 Mar 20 15:14 openca_xml_cache -rw-rw-r-- 1 openca openca 4 Mar 20 15:14 xml_cache.pid Should I delete openca_socket? If not what next? Thanks, Robert PS: using the user openca to try to start the service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
