I am new to the list so hello all OpenDx users, I have a unusual trouble in my Fedora 10 64bits linux, In Fedora 10 OpenDX is delivered thru RPM ... quite easy to install. But ... but there is always a but ...
I can't start a server using the editor mode (dx -uionly) "connexion => start server" never work and OpenDX remains completely blocked. I must add that I have followed all advises found in the FAQs in www.opendx.org. (ping, modify the DXHOST variable ... nothing to do ...) Nevertheless OpenDX works fine in standard mode (dx => run visual program) ... then the server is working fine .... ... but since I am using the editor mode I really would like to understand the problem. Furthermore I have tried the i386 version and obtained the same issue. So far I am not sure that this bug is either an OpenDX issue or a Fedora 10 one. In the case the bug would be a Fedora one please my accept my apologizes for the noise on the list.
