Title: Eric CAUDAL
We have released yesterday a module that might be included in this project, called mail_organizer.

It basically allows the user to change the OpenERP object a mail is assigned to (for example a mail received in leads can be transfered to applicant or another lead).

It is available here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp-community/openobject-addons/elico-7.0/files
or here: http://www.openerp.com/apps/7.0/mail_organizer
A video is available here: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjc3Njc0Nzky.html

By the way we came as well with a new polymorphic field idea that is applied in this module.
Looking forward to your feedback

Hello community,

a while ago, Maxime created a project for crm related addons on
launchpad: https://launchpad.net/openerp-crm

I'd like to kick start this project with with a module called
newsletter (https://www.openerp.com/apps/newsletter/): It roughly does
what mass_mailing does, but for version 6.1 and 7.0, too.

Further, it helps the editor by splitting up the mail to be generated
into an intro, outro and topics, so that you have a clear structure.
In the background, the layout is determined by an email template.

Another difference is that you can define different newsletter types
to which you can assign specific groups which are allowed to send a
newsletter of this type. This way, you can easily have a workflow
where one person sets up a selection, a second writes content and a
third approves this and actually sends the newsletter.

Finally, this addon depends on the ckeditor addon which supports
inline (data url) images. This allows your users to send emails
containing images without the need to have them hosted at some place
accessible from the internet and it's also good for the recipients'
privacy.

I'm interested about your comments,
regards
Holger

PS: I'm aware that there is an addon of the same name for 6.0, but it
looks pretty orphaned to me, so I hijacked the name.

PPS: When we started with this module last year, there was no
mass_mailing (or at least, we ware not aware of it). For version 8 of
newsletter, I think we'll implement that on top of mass_mailing.
