Well, it seems like they listened to recommendations from you and
Barbara (and probably other reviewers and beta testers in the community):

The announcement dates back a few months now but IMHO it's great news
for this rich set of scientific and mathematical Unicode fonts to be
planned for release under the OFL :-)
