In upcoming release of Openmailadmin (revision > 401) you will be able to
choose who passwords will get stored in DB.

Then, you will be able to set in your configuration file:
$cfg['passwd']['strategy']      = 'PasswordPlaintext';
or
$cfg['passwd']['strategy']      = 'PasswordCrypt';

(If you do this posteriori you will have to reset every old hashed password.)
