Just for your information: on our FTP service under contrib/ we opened a
contribution area where everyone can upload their OpenPKG .rpm and .spec files
in order to share them with the OpenPKG community. Use this especially if you
want to contribute packages for inclusion into our project without having to
post all the data to the mailing lists. The 00README follows with details:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the OpenPKG Contribution Area. This area is directly
maintained by the OpenPKG community and provided AS IS without any kind
of support or guaranty.
THIS AREA IS PROVIDED BY THE OPENPKG PROJECT ``AS IS'' AND ANY EXPRESSED OR
IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO
EVENT SHALL THE OPENPKG PROJECT OR HIS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT,
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING,
BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE,
DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY
OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING
NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE,
EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
Feel free to upload any OpenPKG RPM distribution (*.rpm) and OpenPKG
RPM specification (*.spec) files to this contribution area. For this
change to the 00UPLOAD/ subdirectory and PUT your files there. Keep
in mind that only *.rpm and *.spec files are allowed to be uploaded,
that you cannot read from this directory (it is write-only), that you
cannot move or overwrite any files and that only valid OpenPKG *.rpm and
*.spec files are accepted and moved to the parent (this) directory. All
other files are rejected. Additionally every upload operation triggers a
summary Email sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you want to get rid of
obsolete files, drop [EMAIL PROTECTED] a short note. And notice that
the OpenPKG project reserves the right to remove any files at any time
without notice.
