We are trying to use the Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection with smartcards using the IdAlly CSP and OpenSC Smart Crad Bundle. This works fine on the local XP machine.
When used across the Remote Desktop Connection, the PIV card takes only 10 seconds as expected but the GemSafe cards don't work. Using pkcs11-tool with the GenSafe card from a server back across to the remote desktop, it look like the card has some timeout problems and gets some "unable to transmit APDU" messages. This looks like some timming problemsor droped packets in PC/SC between the two systems. Has anyone seen anything timing problems like this? Are there any windows tuning parameters for PC/SC? -- Douglas E.
