not much I'm afraid. What makes it difficult is the handling of ack
packets. When initialize() runs the group connection tells each endpoint
who to send ack packets to. For small setups (<16 nodes) they all go to
the client (i.e. the machine opening the group connection), but for
larger setups a set of nodes is picked to accept acks from the rest and
forward them to the client.
Both Point- and GroupMCastConnection need to be changed to allow this
ack hierarchy to be dynamically configured instead of only during
initialize(). In other words they need to be largely rewritten...
