My wife is currently using it. It does run everythiunbg she was running
before. Mostly ideo amd games like Wow and Diablo III. Her computer
came with a OEM dick of Vista, and when her mobo went bad and was
replaced the OEN thinks we are trying to use it on a new machine. We
found the free trial Windows 8. I think the RP release. It runs but we
do hate that stupif interface.
I personally am not upgrading until they allow for some major user UI
Theme editing or something. The closest thing I can think of on Win 7
would be liike being permanantly trapped in Windows Media center to do
everything.
I don't even know yet what the console in opensim would look like, if it
comes up at all. When it comes to being able to acess more then 16GB, I
think I will upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate.
My poor wife, I NEED to get her back down to Win 7, she is really
getting fustrated with fining things on her machine, and for now I am no
help.

Opensim User: Standalone Grid on Version 0.7.3.1 with 56 Regions
on Windows 7, 64-bit. Phenom 9500 2.2 ghz Quad Core, Terabyte Hard
Drive, 8gig DDR2 RAM. Used XAMPP to load PHP Version 5.3.0, Apache
and MySQL 5.1.41-community edition. Groups, Profiles, Voice and
Offline Mesages all working. (Not yet Public, 6 users allowed Now).
