That's OK. There is so little actual i2c code, I can use the raw i2c commands.

Near as I can tell, there are only a few primatives:
DeviceReset
1W reset
1W channel select
1W read/write byte
1W triplet
1W powerbyte

Some things, like selecting i2c address, and distinguishing between -100 and 
-800 aren't so clear. Testing will be useful.
