With the guidance of Christian Magnusson, I've put in a perl module that
allows shell-type access to owserver. It is the analog of the ownet.php,
ownet.py and shell commands.

I've submitted a request to CPAN to have it included in the CPAN archive --
OWNet.pm is pure perl, so should be easy to install on any system.
I suspect that making OWNet a top name will be a problem. There are 1-wire
modules in Hardware::1Wire::HA7Net and Hardware::iButton so the eventual
location might be Hardware::1Wire::OWNet, which seems a little obscure.
The module is currently only in the CVS. It supports object and non-object
access, and has the familiar methods:
