As we're doing other testing in the lab, we're finding some more problems with DS2450 alarming. Sending the simultanous seems to "lock" the bus for a while....By that, we mean it gets really sluggish. It almost seems we're waiting for 5-25 seconds for it to finish conversion, and during that time, we can't talk to anything else on the bus. Its possible we haven't set it up correctly, as the owfs man page for the device isn't very clear when it comes to alarming. I'm guessing we're the first ones to really use this feature.
To us, the A2D alarming is actually more important than alarming for the temperature at the moment. We're having to fail over to just polling and logging 1-sec interval readings, which will add a fair bit to our database bloat....
