thats right...
i tried with other type temp sensors (ds18s22 if i remember correctly)
and the problem still exists :S

it fails to read, tries to read like unpowered (short time or smth)
then tries to increas the time until it reach to 1500ms and then it get the
reading

and other little problem coexists with this one... somwhere is memory leake :(
if i do "stresstest", read temperatures over and over again... i't eats up all
memory by a day or two :(
i found a temporary solution for this... i'f memory reach to some level,
automatic restart will occure

but, no idea for that temperature conversion :/

tnx for your help Paul :)

80-95 C

Of course it will be fixed. Next week, however.

Let me make sure I understand the problem:
DS18B20
Powered temperature readings.
Trouble with readings in 80C to 95C range. Fine outside that range.

Correct?

so there is no way i can get it fixed?

>From the DS1822 datasheet:

The use of parasite power is not recommended for temperatures above 100°C since
the DS1822 may not

be able to sustain communications due to the higher leakage currents that can
exist at these temperatures.

For applications in which such temperatures are likely, it is strongly
recommended that the DS1822 be
powered by an external power supply.

What bus master, and what mode of power delivery are you using? Also which chip?

hi

i'm using owfs v 2.7.13

when i do simulation conversion... everything works fine .. but when any of
sensors is in range of 80-95 degree,
result will fail and owserver is doing :

  DEBUG: Transaction readin = 0

  DEBUG: Transaction CRC8 = 0
  DEBUG: Transaction end = 0
DEBUG: Temp error. Try unpowered long temperature conversion -- 1500 msec

after that, it reads the result :S
and total time for one temp result is about 3,5 seconds...

anybody know a solution for this?

ps. platform is avr32 and everything else works just great!
