I need some help, guys.
I had been using OWFS and perl (the hard way) to control and measure
my network, but I'm changing over to PHP for it's easier programming
style, lighter footprint and actual case statement (which I use a lot,
really.).
But I'd had trouble on Ubuntu's Hardy, getting Upstart to start
owserver THEN owfs, and for me, both of them is duplication. I just
want to access the sensor network from PHP.
I'm using the nice packages available in Launchpad; I'm thankful for
those, even though I tried to install it on my own: I had no real idea
where to put the PHP module.
Which brings me to the key: can someone give me a _complete_ php
program for reading (any) point? The example on the OWFS website is
incomplete; I need to know how to request the module to be used,
opening, and closing. What I cut-n-pasted from the website just doesn't
work. :(
