This stinks the way the strong pullup is missing during temperature
conversion. See e.g. the DS18B20 datasheet, page 5. (Section:
Powering the DS18B20)

Usually, the I/O pin is pull-down only, with the resistor pulling the
bus line high. But during temperature conversion, it should be set into
push-pull mode so the high-side transistor of the I/O pin sources
current into the bus. Not sure if the w1 driver for your hardware
handles that correctly.
