Sampling 19 temperature sensors one-by-one takes up to 19 seconds. This
is due to the lengthy A/D conversion process.
Either increase the timeout, sample 9-bit or 10-bit only, or power the
sensors, then do a simultaneous conversion and read the values after the
conversion is done on all sensors. The latter takes about 2 seconds for
20 sensors in 12-Bit mode on a DS9097.
